Gourmet Traveller Best Bars in Tasmania
Our foodie friends at Gourmet Traveller may be best known for their great taste in restaurants, but it's a little known fact that they can also be counted among Australia's top bar aficionados.
In their 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide, the country's premier food and travel magazine not only rated the top restaurants in each state, but managed to include a guide to the top bars to boot.
The list is exclusively made up of quality watering holes; including speakeasies with star bartenders, restaurant bars with extra-ordinary wine lists, supper clubs serving impressive cocktail creations and barrel houses pouring magnificent microbrews.
It's not easy to impress such a winning publication, so a nod from them is a feather in the cap of any bar. Take a look down the list and visit that bar you haven't heard of yet. We dare you not to be impressed.
