Bars With Games
Sometimes telling my friends that I'm feeling thirsty isn't quite enough to get them out of the house and down to the pub. It's at times like these that I need to employ more cunning tactics, like asking them to join me for a game of ping pong, or to pit their vocabulary against mine in a game of Scrabble. They're all terrible show offs, so the trick never fails.

Vegas Lounge
Darlinghurst
|
There's a ping pong table in the middle of the room here. It's free to play, but you may have to wait your turn or search the floor for balls. Due to the fact that most people are drunk when they play, it can get a little competitive and rowdy, and those sitting near the table may have to watch their heads. But that just makes it all the more exciting.

Annandale Hotel
Annandale
|
While nearly every bar in the city offers trivia of some description, the Annandale has tailored its games to suit the regulars. The questions are all music based and there are regular guest appearances from members of local bands.
On Sundays, they have laidback board games sessions with Scrabble, Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit.
