Hold on to your ears - and your shopping bags - and step into a starry, starry night at this Vincent van Gogh-inspired bar.
Though it's set within a three-level shopping and entertainment centre, Van Gogh oozes elegance. The decor is influenced by the master painter himself, featuring moody blue lighting and swirling wallpaper that could almost give you the feeling you've stepped straight into the canvas of his renowned Starry Night. Curvaceous couches and trippy beats from the surround sound system complete the intimate vibe.
A selection of Van Gogh vodkas set out seductively in a lighted ice well forms the glittering centrepiece of the spacious bar. Several boutique beers are available on tap, but - of course - exotic cocktails based on premium smooth quadruple-distilled Van Gogh and UV vodkas dominate the drink options. The Van Gogh Sarsparilla is a muddle of Van Gogh Espresso Vodka, Angostura bitters and ginger beer, garnished with fresh lime wedges. If vodka is not your vice, there's also a menu of artistic whiskey concoctions, such as the 'Urban Bourban Ball'.
An ultra-classy venue - in a central location, with banquettes, table seating and a cosy feel - Van Gogh is a popular choice for private corporate functions. There's also a 'corporate' happy hour on Friday nights, with drinks specials from 5pm-7pm.
