Down some British booze and bangers and mash and fly the flag for the Mother Country when the rugby is on.
Popular with British backpackers and uni students, this patriotic Pommy pub is divided into Irish, English, Scottish and Welsh corners, each of which is decorated with the relevant cultural trappings. There is a good selection of beers on tap - actually, there are more than a dozen - and there are quite a few varieties of UK bottled beers to boot. Whiskeys are a popular choice, with all the usual offerings available along with a few more obscure ones.
Don't get caught in the Welsh section if you're going to show your allegiance to the Irish when the rugby is on. Rest assured you'll get a good view of the game from wherever you sit, as there are about 10 sports-loving plasma screens hooked up throughout Union Jack's. After a big game, a DJ is likely to set up so you can kick on and celebrate or console yourself with some beer-soaked dance moves.
Once you've sampled some of the fine ales and whiskeys from all over the British Isles you'll really feel like you have sampled the best of Brit - and had a holiday akin to the experience of an Aussie backpacker without even leaving home. Suitably British meals are served up to complete the experience and the pub is also popular venue for functions.
