You'll need two hands to count your favourite things about this demure Russell Street hole in the wall. For those who like their bars tiny and drinks generous.
Named in honour of the old-school measuring unit, Two Fingers has popped out of the woodwork on Russell Street behind the Forum and opened its doors to folks who like a small place to have a small drink.
Run by some of the folk behind the Lounge, Two Fingers also features hard-to-find spirits including Ursus, (a sloe berry vodka), and Agwa (a pale green liqueur made from coca leaf) which is sensational sipped over ice. Why not sample two fingers' worth of scotch whilst watching the world scurry home down? Wine is also offered by this unique measure (as well as by the glass or bottle for those who have a larger thirst).
The folks behind the bar like to give things a twist. Take the Cavendish (a metamorphosed cosmo), which mixes cranberry juice, vanilla beans, kaffir lime leaves, and 42 Below vodka infused with strawberries.
Bar by night and cafe by day, this petite place offers organic delights for breakfast, along with funky baguettes and daily specials for lunch. You can even get a few fingers' worth of quality coffee if you're in need of caffeine.
