The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; locals congregate to lament the working week ahead over a schooner of ice-cold beer or a glass of wine. There is ample seating, both outside under the shade sail and within the casual yet stylishly decorated interior.
Perhaps it's predominantly the view over miles of sparkling blue water, glistening yellow sand and acres of parkland that draws people here, but one thing's for certain, Turtles certainly sees its fair share of pub action.
On a Friday and Saturday nights the bar is packed, live music gets the crowd into the spirit and the dance floor is always pumping. Disco and retro tunes drift out along the street, taking over from the sedate daytime sounds. Forget just dropping in for a quiet beer on the way home; this outdoor-inspired venue has a dance party groove that takes over as soon as you walk in the door. Don't be surprised if you find yourself staggering home in the wee hours and nursing a hangover the next day.
