A favoured haunt for those in the know, classy cocktails and fifties fittings rule the roost in this calm oasis tucked away behind Sydney Road.
While much of the planet is hell bent on going global, Tre Espresso offers a calm little oasis of local flavours and faces, making it a favoured haunt for those in the know. Located in a cobbled little piazza at the back of the Marianna Hardwick building off Sydney Road, by day Tre Espresso serves coffee and comfort food to 'new' Brunswick's multicultural masses - renter friends, chess masters, babies in strollers, young renovators and the occasional tourist from St Kilda.
At night, this funky joint is bringing classy cocktail culture to Brunswick. Using a small but quality range of spirits (including Hendrick's gin), bar staff serve textbook-perfect martinis including the occasional exclusive Tre Espresso invention.
Clean lines, fifties fittings and nifty art give Tre Espresso its own unique feel. The versatile open plan space provides room enough to accommodate a big night out with friends or a quiet chat for two before heading to nearby restaurants and cafes.
There's Heineken on tap, some excellent hard-to-find wines available by the glass and stunning bar snacks like beef carpaccio and generous antipasto tasting plates. Future plans include courtyard cook-ups and wine tasting in an adjoining venue.
