The Vic's tall glass doors are dressed skimpily in dark velvet curtains with tassled fringes. Walk through them and the long, spacious room is illuminated by curved, dainty lampshades and candles in wine bottles so laden with dry red wax they look like short magnums. Take a low seat on a smooth leather couch or on a plump cushioned stool and become a 'love juice' junkie. Love juice is a favourite among The Vic loyals. It's a sweet brew of sparking wine, vodka, strawberry liqueur and fresh strawberry puree. They also put together a blend of honey, vodka, frangelico and fresh lime in their luscious honey martinis. There's no dinner available at The Vic, but owing to a close relationship with Binh Minhs - a Vietnamese restaurant a couple of doors down - you can order take away from them instead and eat it at the bar.
