Descend the staircase and prepare to be pleasantly surprised, for here lies a decidedly upmarket and deceptively spacious bar and restaurant with arguably the best water-side views in East Perth. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors make the most of its stunning vista, but for thoroughly uninterrupted views, step outside onto the sweeping glass-walled alfresco area.
In late spring the flowering Jacarandas trees add a dazzling splash of purple, and a one-piece band provides a suitably chilled-out soundtrack every Friday and Saturday night; but any time of day or year is a good time to enjoy a tipple or two in this stylish, welcoming and tranquil setting. For beer-lovers, the bar itself offers a rather breathtaking view of 22 local and imported brews on tap and a further 40 bottled and canned varieties which will require some careful deliberation.
