This golf course drinking spot is luxurious and well-appointed. Cellar master Phil Franzone is serious about his extensive collection of wines collected from across the globe.
As part of Port Bouvard's $6 million clubhouse facility, The Cut, no expense has been spared in creating this premier bar and restaurant, which rivals the likes of Leeuwin Estate and The Loose Box. Overlooking the 18-hole championship golf course and surrounding coastal heath, The Mediterranean Piano Bar has quickly established itself as one of Australia's best 19th holes. Cellar master Phil Franzone has travelled extensively to ensure that his wine cellar is suitably stocked with some of the best value wines that the world's premium producers have to offer. Even the house wine is exclusively blended and bottled for The Cut. Furthermore, for dedicated hopheads there are very reasonably-priced craft beers, including Freo's Bee's Knees range and Tasmania's Cascade and Boags, together with five beers on tap served in more generous than average middy glasses. That's not forgetting the impressive spirit selection and cocktail list. Once you've selected your nectar of choice, sit back and drink in the stunning views over the putting green, the 10th hole and the coastal heath beyond. You can even opt to have a swift swing on the green by ordering from the drinks buggy or the halfway hut. How's that for service?
