Step back in time at The Julep Lounge, where the cocktail list is just as dazzling as the 19th Century-inspired interiors.
Decorated with antiques, chaise settees, chandeliers and mahogany columns, this sophisticated drinking spot gives a nod to decades past. The Julep Lounge is the brainchild of owner and bartender extraordinaire David Nguyen-Luu, who won the 2005 ACT Suntory Cup Cocktail Competition, and has a huge library of traditional and self-devised recipes.
Guests can do their own time travel, mulling over the cocktail menu which stretches from the 1750s right through to 2005 with more than 60 drinks.
Tapas are available for those who want to snack, and there's an elegant restaurant area that recently won the Australian Hotel Association's Best Prestigious Dining Venue Award in Canberra.
