Perched atop the Boathouse Floating Restaurant, The Bridge offers watery world-class views flowing down the Noosa River. Owing to its third-storey vantage point, this drinking spot's outlook is particularly captivating at sunset. Guests can laze back and witness the ritual show of the sun sinking low, and disappearing over the back of the mountain ranges. The vista gets better with a chilled beer in hand, so it's fortuitous that this lounge bar pours out 25 varieties of the icy amber liquid, including approximately 12 imported labels. The cocktails range is also enticing, providing the ultimate refreshment to counter humid Queensland evenings. Try the Cold Rain Cooler: an invigorating blend of vodka, green apple liquor, apple juice, fresh mint and lime juice. The Bartender Jetty cocktail is also popular. It mixes cachaca (a fiery, clear Brazilian rum) together with muddled lime, gomme (a sugar syrup) and sweet raspberry coulis. Rumbling appetites can be tamed with bar snacks that include tapas, wood-fired pizzas and seafood dishes such as grillhouse sashimi, oysters and salt and pepper calamari. Expect a sophisticated setting of retro furnishings and sleek, polished timber floors, making this a very suave drink spot by the water.
