Owned by the same crew who operate Hoohaa Bar in Windsor, and with the same upbeat eclectic lounge vibe, The Aviary is a hip hybrid of traditional pub and boutique wine bar where DJs hit the decks on Friday and Saturday nights.
The lounge has a cosy amber glow, with cathedral-style stained glass windows framing the bluestone interior wall panels that characterise this artistically decorated space. A playful collage of enlarged postage stamps form the wallpaper beside the main bar, while on another wall, modern paintings in tessellating frames blend with bird-themed murals.
The Aviary houses a fine selection of unique beverages including more than 50 varieties of wine, aperitifs and sparkling varieties sourced from Victoria, South Australia and New Zealand, as well as Spain and France. But it's not just the vino enthusiasts that will be pleased here - Becks, Kirin, Hahn, Carlton Draught and James Squire Amber Ale are all available on tap, and there's an enticing array of cocktails.
