Down a Hot Pins Cooler cocktail then hurl a bowling ball down the gutter at this fun retro bowling bar.
Bowling ain't quite what it used to be. Well, not at Strike anyway. Accompanying its 10 bowling lanes are plasma TVs, loud disco music, fluorescent lighting, karaoke rooms, pool tables, gourmet food, luxurious lounges and many more surprises. This is comfortable and sociable sport at its kindest.
As loud music competes with the familiar sound of balls being hurled down the gutter, friends can inquire about firewater at one of the two cocktail bars. Cocktails on the menu include twisted martinis, lively daiquiris, and refreshing mojitos. There are even a few signatures, such as the banana Strike Split, the muddled Hot Pins Cooler and the sweet Choc-Mint Strike. You can get $6 cocktails on Monday nights.
In a place where retro and sophistication go hand-in-hand, the finger food must surely be delicious. And it is. The menu includes a selection of tapas dishes such as chorizo, haloumi cheese and oysters; cheese and antipasto sharing plates; as well as a selection of pizzas, including roast lamb and pancetta. Strike Bowling Bar has revamped this grubby-old pastime and brought it into the 21st Century.
