This sparkling gem of a club can sometimes be difficult to get into, so wear a designer outfit and make sure you own the right look. The bouncers will be much more welcoming if you have legitimate eye candy value, if not some industry cred.
The namesake of this icy cool venue is etched into every part of Sappire Lounge; from the sexy blue-lit bar to the DJ-styled mash-ups of electro, funky vocal house and mod-recycled flashbacks.
A bit disco-inspired and a little underworld gangsta in tone, the setting is probably best taken in when the club is full, shadowy and thumping. The sippers are half the decoration, after all. But to be fair, the interior itself does deserve at least a mention. It was created by Kirk Lenard, whose design works grace Chanel and Louis Vuitton boutiques. Ooh la la.
The split-level venue also features a chill-out space, so you can kick back and sip on a signature Sapphire Martini (lavender flower-infused Bombay Sapphire gin, green apple liqueur and lychee syrup), without spilling a drop. If one cocktail isn't enough, then expand your horizons and order up a Mandy Gerling next (Bombay Sapphire gin mixed with melon schnapps, green apple liqueur, watermelon and passionfruit).
Sapphire Lounge has long opening hours and is a popular function space during the earlier end of the evening.
