This charming local has taken the 'home away from home' shtick to the next level by replacing the traditional bar with a more convivial kitchen table.
As you stroll into the lovely, warmly lit space take heed of the terrazzo flooring, which is well-worn by the many that have gone before. Then, pull up a stool and have an old fashioned yarn with the good folk serving guests from one side of the longest kitchen table in town. Locals and friends spill around onto the business side when things are busy, but that's the vibe of the Rrose, relaxed and welcoming.
With 180 different spirits towering over the bar why wouldn't you be relaxed? Rrose has a lip-smacking collection of cocktails for the noughties and the staff are infected with mixology mania; throw them a challenge and they'll serve you something fresh and original. There's also a rotating range of local micro-brews on tap and a broad selection of wine from both overseas and home.
Saunter out the back and you'll find discover couches and further on, a small courtyard if you prefer some alfresco drinking. To help soak up liquid sampling, Rrose also serves antipasto and more hearty treats well into the wee hours.
