Straight out of Sherwood Forest, this hotel offers something for the merry men, Maid Marian, and even the naughty Sheriff of Nottingham.
Robin Hood has had many incarnations, both on screen and off, but whether you're a fan of the Kevin Costner or the Mel Brooks'
Men in Tights version, appreciating this eastern suburbs hotel is easy, whether or not you fancy yourself a robber of the rich and giver to the poor. Built in 1851, with lead light windows and emerald green carpet, this Sherwood Forest-themed pub is sure to please those of any background with its lounge full of chesterfields and a relaxing beer garden.
If hanging out with the merry men is not your thing, then be content in the recently refurbished Coopers 1862 bar with its lashings of stainless steel, dotted with leather ottomans and polished floor boards brought together by red hued walls. On offer is an eclectic wine list, a wide selection of modern cocktails and some very decadent bubbles such as the Non-Vintage Veuve Clicquot - or perhaps a $300 bottle of Krug is more your thing. It's all very fitting for Robin Hood's missus, the doe-eyed Maid Marian.
