With its minimalist interior and laze-inducing chill-out music playing discreetly in the background, Pure Bar is ideal for discussing the stock market or the latest art gallery openings with your ponytail-sporting friends.
Located in a small space in the upmarket suburb of Subiaco, Pure Bar caters to an exclusive rather than large crowd. When the sun goes down, young frocked-up party girls rub shoulders with the cash-waving corporate set eager to avoid the overcrowded and noisier venues down the road.
The bar staff are some of the friendliest around - and keen to make sure you are having a good time. And the good times are in plentiful supply with a rock-solid cocktail list, all expertly mixed in front of your longing eyes. With no beer on tap, Pure Bar is not the place for downing pints on a boozy boy's night out. Rather it is aimed at those eager to leave behind the drunken frat-boy antics and embrace adult sophistication.
We reserved a section of the bar for surprise birthday drinks, and arranged for balloons and cake to be delivered. On the night the bar was heaving, with at least two other functions. Despite this the staff did a totally fantastic job - bringing out the cake, all lit with candles and sparklers, supplying plates and generally ensuring our night went well.
The cocktails have to be some of the best (if not THE best) in Perth, and service is fast and friendly. Second time I've attended a function there and Pure has delivered a consistently good performance.

Buzzing afterwork bar with fabulous tapas!
I love coming to Pure Bar for a few reasons 1)The cocktails - interesting, unique, well made & quick 2)The tapas menu - well priced for the amount you get, inspired and different, delicious and again fast (considering prep.) 3)The staff - clearly want to be there and engage their customers as well as a manager/owner is always on hand and loves working the bar on busy night and customers 4)The wine list - has something for everyone, at everyone's price range 5)The decore is funky and inviting. It has a dance floor and plenty of seating in and out, without being too cluttered.
The manager tells me a night at Pure can be anything from sophisticated after-work drinks to pre-drinks before a AFL game at Subi oval - clearly very versatile place!
