Paramount may possess the biggest and boldest facade on Northbridge's nightclub strip, but it's what lies behind the ornate metalwork railings and huge palm trees that really makes it one of Perth's most prominent nightspots.
For party people, Paramount is the equivalent of one-stop shopping. There are five huge areas to explore, filled with the sounds of live acts, MCs and guest DJs spinning house.
Deep within the venue is the Rattle Room - the heart of the club - where Perth's cover bands rock up and play, sandwiched between sets from Paramount's house DJs.
On the upper level sits the sophisticated but not-too-serious Tiger Bar, decked out with cheeky tiger-striped carpet and a little balcony overlooking bustling James Street. It's just the spot for people-watching and cocktail sipping. Should you get serious about grooving to the latest dance tracks, you can head further on to the Paramount's Discotheque.
On street level, the vibe is much more relaxed. The Ale Bar's beach-style shed pours tap beers from all corners of the world. Wander into the adjoining courtyard with its towering palm trees to discover the Garden Bar area. This spot is a chilled-out oasis designed for lazy sun-downer drink sessions under the night sky.
