Affectionately referred to as the 'Paddo' by locals, the Paddington Inn is swankier than its humble nickname suggests. Sure, it used to be a modest beer 'n' fag kinda pub, but things have changed since its late '90s renovation. This place has become one of the city's favourite watering holes. With its warm wooden interior, contemporary decor and mood lighting, it strikes a balance between the old world and the new.
Unsurprisingly, the clientele here is equally diverse. On any given weekday, you might find friendly locals laughing over cold schooners while keeping tabs on a competitive game of pool, or a bunch of good-humoured style-mavens flocking around the front bar and peering at passers-by through the large bi-fold windows.
