With a more intimate layout than its previous form, 6 Links, Nectar Lounge's decor is a blend of futuristic and cosy. Clear plastic space-age stools accentuate welcoming amber furnishings and cushiony pouffes in burnt orange illuminated by soft candles and fairy lights. It's the ultimate ambience for sipping on the adventurous selection of specialty cocktails on offer such as Black Forest Delight, Angel Sheets and Whiskey Strudel or their signature Sweet Symphony, a rich combination of Butterscotch schnapps, Vanilla vodka, muddled apple, caramel sauce and fresh apple juice that is dramatically caramelized under a blow torch. If cocktails are not your flavour, there are house wines and beers a-plenty with up to eight varieties available on tap including boutique labels such as Hoegaarden and Asahi
Gourmet sandwiches and tapas platters are available to line the stomach for post-work drinking sessions and those after something more refreshing should sample the Mar-Tea-nis (tea-infused liquor fusions) or one of the house-made infused vodkas.
Celebrate the close of hump day at Nectar when Wednesday evenings host live jazz accompanied by generous cocktail specials; the $6 Long Island Iced Teas are a steal. DJs and VJs hit the decks from Thursday to Saturday, spinning retro disco, commercial house and breakbeats when the dance floor opens up to a bevy of city workers letting loose.
