Lily Blacks' barflies recline in her warm and elegant interior, which is scattered with authentic art deco lamps and original fixtures. Beautiful dark wooden panelling has been used to create a comfortable hub-style bar with plenty of stools to prop on and have a yarn. Beyond the bar drinkers can venture into the lounge and enjoy a superbly well-made cocktail.
From the list of tried-and-tested classics, cocktail sippers can try a mint julep, a sidecar or a cracking martini. There is quality St Arnou beer on tap, and a wine list with choices from both new and old worlds. The bar snacks are also a notch above the standard chips-and-dip fare; sample a platter of three French cheeses, some pate or a charcuterie plate.
