This bar evokes French Indochina or sultry New Orleans - sombre red and black decor is contrasted by a vibrant explosion of mosaic-mirrored walls and a rococo-style portrait installation. Indoor plants and creeping vines rest beside leather settees while the outdoor beer porch provides an apt setting for enjoying something from the decent selection of wine and beers.
The extensive cocktail list (boasting lush, fruity flavours with a dark edge) is constantly under revision to provide variations on usual blends such as the mysterious Sapphire Cilantro (Bombay Sapphire, peach puree, crushed coriander and fresh strawberries) or the decadent, saccharine Morning Glory with cognac, caramel, maple syrup and pear juice.
