Park yourself on a bar stool and knock back a shooter or a Bad Girl Cocktail in this fun and chaotic restaurant/bar space.
Smack bang in the middle of Joe's restaurant, you can either wait at the bar for a table or stay at the bar for a cocktail at this aptly named joint. Human traffic comes and goes at a rip-roaring pace at the busy and vibrant and Joe's Garage, where high-energy music matches the movements of the staff working hard to get to corners of the room.
The interior is spacious and chaotic all at once, with banquettes and stand-alone wooden tables, retro stools and gig posters, blackboards and glass racks. Outside a few tiny tables squish into the slithers of room left on the side of the Brunswick Street pavement.
The bar itself is fitted with an oft-used espresso machine; just above it you'll see a stand of drinks and other goodies - beer, wine, teapots, spirits, liqueurs, glassware, marshmallows, pepper and salt and a big fat fresh pineapple.
There's a decent list of shooters and cocktails for barflies, including a Bad Girl Cocktail, but ask the staff nicely and they'll be happy to branch out and create whatever other concoction you desire.
Local suits, roadmen and Fitzrovians frequent Joe's Garage for its lunch special, which includes pizza and pasta with a glass of house wine.
