Located on the corner of Martin Place and Elizabeth Street, this modern CBD bar is a below-street-level world of comfy couches and cherry-ripe decor - all rich reds and chocolate brown tones. Its central location and immediate access to trains makes it the perfect place for a few drinkies before zipping home to the 'burbs.
On Saturdays, the Red Room section is a popular destination for 'old skool' R'n'B fans. Here you'll find lots of chic boys and gals grooving to live DJs turning out the best of old school R'n'B, hip hop and funk tracks. Entertainment on Friday nights - 'Fridays after Work' - is dedicated to 'the tunes you know and love', with $3 champagne available for scoffing. On Wednesdays, there are half price cocktails and live jazz from 6.30pm.
During the day, Hotel Chambers is more subdued and the crowd much more varied. You can slink into the working week with lunch at the bistro; $7 lunch specials are available on Mondays and Tuesdays. On weekday evenings, it's a place to unwind and take it easy with friends.
