Even though it's opposite Australia's most famous beach, there's really no need to step out of this mega-pub and onto the sand.
Sitting pretty opposite the even prettier ocean on Bondi's iconic Campbell Parade, 'the Bondi' is a staple for anyone visiting Australia's most famous beach, whether they're a day-tripper or a visa-dodging backpacker.
You can almost guarantee that anyone who wakes up with a hangover in Bondi was here the night before. As one of the few beachside establishments with a late-night license, it ends up drawing in revellers who've spent most of the night drinking elsewhere along on the strip.
The Bondi has everything you need in a pub - in fact, it's more like a mega pub. Downstairs alone there is a generous beach-facing terrace, front bar, bistro, sports bar, pool room, gaming room and nightclub (Zinc) - phew! Then upstairs - if you get to it - you'll find another bar, pool area and a bunch of video games (think Daytona car racing and Buck Hunter).
For locals, there's an all important drive-through liquor shop tucked around the back on Gould Street, and every summer you can be guaranteed to find the back the cricket on day in day out in the back bar.
