This elite cocktail spot beckons with Moroccan-inspired interiors, huge ottomans and low lounges that can be hard to escape from. Explore the vast vodka list and sample some late-night sashimi.
Hemmesphere's wickedly exclusive reputation can intimidate even the most seasoned barfly, so it's somewhat surprising that once inside, the vibe is actually laidback and very loungey.
Sitting four levels above the popular Establishment bar, this Moroccan-styled space is scented with cedar perfume. Chilled funk and warm electro fuse together and fill in the background while impeccably dressed staff flit from one group to another, serving supper snacks, drinks and cigars.
Hemmesphere is the kind of bar where you must wait to be seated, where the drinks menu is 26 pages long and there are over 24 types of vodka to choose from. You can't sit at the bar; it's table service only here. However, don't let that intimidate you or prevent you from meeting the friendly bar staff, who are eager to educate you in every nuance of the beautiful anthology of spirits behind the counter. Allow them to guide you through the extensive cocktail menu (which is so large that it's divided by base spirits) or introduce your palate to the subtleties of Polish vodka.
Tasting plates are available and there is also a sushi bar that serves fresh sashimi. Just remember to polish your best shoes and dress in your designer sipping attire before stepping into the elevator and ascending to make your grand entrance.
