Come here if you want a pub experience without any bells and whistles. Steak, sports coverage and beer reign supreme - and that's pretty much it.
Set within the city's concrete jungle but offset by a few green palm trees, this classic pub is a solid and dependable boozer.
Don't expect anything too fancy here, but if it's basics you're after, this place delivers. It's an old fashioned kind of place where beer, sport and pub grub are always top priority. Just don't go looking for a DJ or a trivia comp because seriously, it's not going to happen.
Timber tables, standard bar stools and pool tables come together to construct the generic pub background that you'd probably expect. The tap beer range includes brands such as Swan, XXXX, Guinness, Becks, Hahn and James Squire.
Friday afternoons are particularly busy, with corporate suits and tourists dropping in for lazy afternoon lunches and drinking sessions. Menu offerings include house-made soups, sandwiches, prawns and steaks.
If there's a big game on, the sports bar can get pretty rowdy. Get ready for some back slapping, yelling and the odd spilt beer if the action heats up on the wide-screen TV.
The courtyard is probably the most idyllic spot to really kick back. With lush ferns and plenty of greenery, it feels more than a little bit like an old English country establishment, making the Grosvenor a nice (if simplistic) distraction from the hustle and bustle of the city.
