In days gone by, the now-hot Fringe Bar was once known as The Dead Rat, and it was - needless to say - not so hot. However a total metamorphosis has seen it emerge as a flashy, revamped destination, combining chic contemporary decor with some of the venue's more striking original fixtures, such as antique granite flooring.
During the working week, Fringe is a mecca for nine-to-fivers who want to blow off some office steam over well-priced bar meals and a broad selection of tap beer. When the weekend rolls around, the space turns into a party haven, with house DJs manning the decks until the early morning.
Fringe boasts no shortage of entertainment and events. Test your art skills with life drawing on Wednesdays, or for something that's perhaps even more cheeky, join a playful pole dancing class.
