Slip into this bar for pre-clubbing cocktails on the weekend or '80s trash tunes every Thursday. The point is to proudly 'relive the decade that good taste forgot'.
Aside from shoulder pads, bike pants and stonewashed jeans, the 1980s also behind left another legacy which has been burnt into the memories of those of us who were around back then - and that's the music. Even though the era is well and truly over, those barflies looking for a flashback fix can still get it on Thursdays at Eurobar.
This regular 'Eurotrash '80s' night is aimed squarely at the past - and according to the venue's management, the point is to 'relive the decade that good taste forgot'. Hopefully you'll find yourself singing along to the lyrics of all sorts of artists. Think Bros, Samantha Fox, Boy George, Colette, Wham, Billy Idol, Transvision Vamp and Milli Vanilli - along with their video clips.
Fridays and Saturdays take a different tack altogether and are dedicated to smooth house tracks delivered by resident DJ Roger Smart. Cocktails are the drink of choice and the crowd is usually a pre-clubbing one, kicking back before venturing on for a big night out on Northbridge's party strip.
A new cocktail list is currently under construction and the plan is to name each drink after a different European city. Aside from signature creations, there will also be classic staples such as caipiroskas, mojitos and cosmopolitans.
Eurobar hosts plenty of events and private functions.
