An inner-city haven for music and art lovers.
Dragonfly landed in Victoria Square in 2007, drawing in like-minded beasties with its mix of music, art, wine and food.
Music-lovers need not fret; Dragonfly's decks in good hands, with three of the owners spinning tunes on the first Saturday of each month. Vinyl collectors are welcome to bring their stash along on Wednesdays from 7pm for Bento, What's in Yo' Box?, while every Friday local DJs spin anything from soul, downbeat and cosmic to italo, house and punk funk.
Start or finish your evening with a (Berry) Bang, a concoction of Absolot blackcurrant, chamord, bols lychee liquer and muddle fresh cucumber and strawberries served over crushed ice. Lovers of imported ales will find Asahi and Bohemian Pilsner on tap, with Mountain Goat India Pale Ale and Kronenbourg 1664 in bottle form. Wine and sherries such as Spain's Valdespino Yellow Label Peedro Ximenez are tailored to chef Mark's tapas-style treats: the brains behind Dragonfly's intelligent menu, Mark's food blends European and Asian flavours with a little Japanese street food to boot.
