Dooleys has just about all bases covered. It's a place for quiet beer sessions, live band performances, cocktail sipping and serious pool games. The pub is divided up into three separate bars and each area offers something different.
The Upstairs Bar hosts live gigs and is home to nine pool tables, a renovated bar and an outdoor area.
Down the far end of the pub is Tom's, which stands as a traditional Irish bar and hosts some authentic Irish music on the weekends.
The Trinity Bar is located downstairs and is the posher side of Dooleys. It features a cocktail lounge decked out in modern decor. Trinity isn't as popular as the other two areas and it can seem a little out of place. What it does offers, however, is a touch of girliness, which is a pleasant addition to an otherwise macho pool premises.
Yes, Dooleys is essentially all about shooting pool. If a game of pool isn't your thing, then you may want to rethink your venue choice altogether. If it is, be prepared for some serious competition and consistent challenges for ownership of the ever-popular tables.
