All hail this royal-named spot, where the wine and cocktails are poured with expert precision. There's a beer garden, restaurant and Kumfy Klub DJ events spinning funk, breaks and house.
The Sceptre has quietly built a reputation among the bar-hopping elite. A smile will always get you in and that right twinkle in your eye may even get you a free drink. This is a bartender's kind of a drinking spot. The Sceptre takes its booze rather seriously. It has one of the largest ranges of premium spirits and liqueurs in Australia, with over 300 different tipples. The mixologists know how to flair and pour with precision.
Line up at the bar for a Sceptre Sling (tequila, pomegranate syrup, pineapple and lemon juice). If you look around you'll probably find yourself surrounded by dreadlocks and primrose oil on one side, high street fashion on the other and a starving artist behind you waiting for someone to buy him a beer.
The space is decked out with comfy bar stools, a good pool table and retro lighting. There's also a restaurant area with over 200 local and imported vinos on its wine list. The cosy back room can be bone-shakingly loud when bands perform.
Entertainment flows seven nights a week, with tunes ranging from jazz fusion to funk, hip hop and groove.
Some of the recent international acts to grace the stage include Thievery Corporation (USA), Krafty Kuts (UK) and Crazy Penis (UK).
The Sceptre is also home to club nights such as Kumfy Klub, Outbreak, Loop and Inbound.
