There's something fishy about this joint. Come here if you want seafood platters, boutique beers, live music and a kid-friendly setting.
Clancy's Fish Pub keeps things simple. Don't bother trying to over-analyse this boozer. If you want to understand the place, just check out its logo. The fish and the guitar pretty much sum it up. Clancy's is all about seafood and live music.
Laidback and welcoming, this pub possesses an unapologetic mainstream attitude. The crowd is diverse and includes locals, travellers, artists, business suits and casual families. On weekends, kiddies bolt around outside in the enclosed park while grown-ups kick back close by, polishing off fish and boutique beer in the sun.
Expect quiz mania on Tuesdays and live music six nights a week. The gig line-up is fairly eclectic and ranges from folk and gypsy-rock to funk, jazz and roots-infused blues. On the foodie front, don't expect too many surprises.
The kitchen delivers exactly what you'd expect: plenty of fishy options. There's steamed chilli mussels, seafood platters, calamari and fish and chips. However fish-phobes are also catered for by a 'landfood' menu section which includes staples such as T-bone steak and caesar salad.
The only thing that's particularly 'fancy pants' at Clancy's is perhaps the beer. There are plenty of boutique ales and ciders available - and most of them are local to Western Australia. Brand names include Gage Road Brewing Company, Feral Brewing, Old Swan, Last Drop, Little Creatures and Port Dock Brewery.
