The Aussie beer industry must love this place; it has all the big home-grown brands on tap. Team your booze with some of the kitchen's kangaroo, emu or crocodile. Gold.
Aussie culture lovers take note; Bobby Dazzler's is a 'true blue' pub, a 'little bewdy'. At least that's what its promotional material touts anyway. And maybe the claim is fair enough.
This place has beers from every Australian state except the Northern Territory (let's face it, that's probably because NT is a beer-drinking state, not a beer-brewing one). Venture up to the bar and you'll find all the mainstream Aussie classics such as VB, Cascade and XXXX on tap, plus such local West Australian ales as Redback, Emu Bitter and Swan as well.
The kitchen serves up standard pub grub options - think steak, wedges, pasta and pizza. However, if you really want to stick to the Australian theme, then try some crocodile and emu sausages or some kangaroo loin medallions (this one's not suitable for
Skippy lovers, of course).
The setting at Bobby Dazzler's is a classic one, so don't expect any fancy-schmancy surprises. There are standard wooden tables, patterned carpeting, a few brassy finishes and some token splashes of memorabilia. As far as pubs go, this one's not a groundbreaker, but the massive selection of Aussie beers definitely appeals to thirsty and patriotic barflies. It's all about having the right priorities.
