There's a cute beer garden with fairy lights that's a treat in the warmer months and local artist's wares are on proud display to be purchased, if you're quick.
There's a small DJ booth down the front where local mix masters spin their stuff on Saturdays. Sundays play host to local singer/songwriters, the perfect tonic to ease the thought of Monday.

Don't ask for a jack'n'coke here...Bar Nancy serves top quality drinks & food created by in-house mixologist and chef. Like the drinks, the artwork adorning the walls is carefully selected and curated with exhibition opening nights gathering big crowds and plenty of interest. But whilst the bar is all about quality, the prices make Bar Nancy accessible to all. The atmosphere is relaxed with a great mix of local punters and cheerful staff. Bar Nancy proves that professionalism and a relaxed vibe can go hand in hand! Every sense is catered for as if it's a breeze: audio, visual,great tastes and aromas (even the very tactile recycled timber bar top!) This hot spot oozes Euro charm, right down to the handcrafted menus - each one represents other Bar Nancys from all over Europe. Bar Nancy boasts the biggest courtyard in Westgarth. Umbrellas cover seating for 44 people desiring a cigarette or one of the Cuban cigars available from the bar. Bar Nancy's other big boast is the largest open fireplace I've seen in Melbourne. Although most punters enjoy the bar regularly, you can also book in advance for up to 100 people. This place is a modern delight in a Victorian building developed to enhance it's original splendor. The staff are passionate about quality service without pretension. The best of old meets the best of new at Bar Nancy Northcote.
