This spanking new venue is set among Northbourne Avenue's well-known band of bars and clubs. The drinks list aims to take guests 'Around the World in Eight Cocktails'.
Bar 32 is a new addition to Canberra's inner-city strip. Occupying the space once home to The Avenue Bar, this venue has undergone a complete renovation.
Wander into the main bar on ground level for after-work drinks, then as the night wears on you can move into the dance floor area where you'll find DJs spinning upbeat tunes and large screens projecting visuals for the crowd. Upstairs, there's a stylish and comfortable mezzanine, with distinctive arched windows and plush red couches to sink into.
The drinks list aims to take punters 'Around the World in Eight Cocktails'. Sip on a Green Island Fragrance of Mauritius (vodka, Midori, lemon and pineapple juice) or try the Chinese-inspired Dragon's Fire (mandarin vodka, Cointreau and cranberry juice).
On Friday nights, the music program is a little more creative than most other bars along the strip. The new rock club night offers up a mix of seventies disco, eighties pop and contemporary indie faves.
If the weekend has left you feeling a little weary, you can chill out at the bar's Sunday recovery club. Expect comfy couches, pool and cruisy sounds delivered by resident DJs and a couple of surprise guests.
