This is a real pub - from its classic green wall tiling within right down to its beer taps, which have been working since 1884.
Some people know this boozer by its formal name, the Rose Shamrock & Thistle. However even more people know it by its nickname, the Three Weeds. Apparently this slang title was coined by the Irish convicts who used to drink up here and occasionally biff each other up over a century ago.
Today, you'll find Tooheys, Reschs, VB, Becks, Kilkenny and Heineken on tap, along with some other names.
The crowd is laidback, arty and pubby. And the drink of choice is simple. Beer.
