Located in the CBD needle of Sydney Tower, 80-odd stories up, 360 Bar & Dining Room offers unparalleled views out over the harbour and the city.
This revolving icon has long been popular with tourists as the most efficient means of seeing Sydney (Opera house? Check. Bridge? Check. Harbour? Check again). However the interior just as breathtaking and unique as the view. The result is a posh 140-seat restaurant with a bar sidled up alongside.
The glam interior includes a tortoiseshell bar, mirror-topped tables and opulent chocolate furnishings. Even the loo amenities are Philippe Starck designed and paired with crystal sinks and walls detailed with genuine crocodile leather. Behind the bar, bottles glow like gaudy gems against the glass wall, appearing to be suspended in space. All this luxury and sophistication demands to be matched with something expensive, bubbly and preferably French. Thankfully the extensive wine list delivers admirably.
Most often used as an impressive prelude to dinner in the restaurant, the bar ought to be a destination in itself for every city visitor and native Sydneysider, at least once.
As a visitor to Sydney it was deemed mandatory to go to the Tower for lunch but as I have a dread of heights it was very hard for me. Once we got up there it was breath-taking and I forgot my fear and took advantage of the 360 panorama and took many good photos and reminders. thanks for the experience

Great position, wonderful views (as would be expected this high up). The cocktails take a bit long to make as the bar is stunning but not very functional. This is a must do for everyone including those living in Sydney. We would never have normally gone up the tower as 'locals' but were glad we did and have been back 3 times since, every time with a new group.
